A Study of Evaluation on Attractiveness Factors in Cruise Tourism using an Importance-Performance Analysis

Recently, Korean Government has been becoming aware of the Cruiseship tourism's effect. The economic impacts of Crusieship tourism that the passengers create in local communities are considerable. So, Curiseship tourism industry has been strategically promoted by governments. This study analyzed how the passenger evaluated the cruise attractiveness provided in the present cruise tourism. This study recognized that the IPA(Importance-Performance Analysis) matrix was useful to improve the cruise attractiveness needed the improvement was definitely marked on the IPA matrix. This study came to a conclusion that the attractiveness factors that belonged to the quadrant Ⅲ(from low priority) were the attractions. As, the passengers belonging to quadrant Ⅱ(concentrate here) think significant, the attractiveness factor that requires intensive improvement was not shown on this study.
