코퍼스분석을 이용한 크루즈관광브로셔의 콘텐츠 분석에 관한 연구

A Content analysis of the Cruise brochures by Corpus Linguistics

The purpose of this study is to examine the cruise brochures of World Wide Cruise by analyzing their contents. The material examined for this study was the specific region brochures which were published by major cruise lines. Corpus analysis can provide us with valuable information about linguistics features such as word-list, word-frequency, and distribution of words in the media. In order to present objective descriptions of the contents, Wordsmith tools 6.0 was utilized to analyze the characteristics of vocabularies which were included in the revised Cruise Line Brochure. The target corpus data consisted of 4 different Brochures, including 86,945 words. Through the use of corpus based analysis, the study showed frequency data of the words, type/token ratio (TTR), Keyness, and high-frequency words in comparison with the America National Travel Corpus as a reference data. The results of keywords revealed that cruise industry provides not only customers with travelling on a ship but also comfortable hotel services at the same time.
