PTSD or Posttraumatic Stress Disorder is an anxiety problem that develops in some people after extremely traumatic events, such as combat, crime, an accident or natural disaster Korea Coast Guard Officers are frequently exposed to special environment where they can experience the death of associate, combat on the sea, crime, an accident etc. while on duty. Nevertheless, there is a lack of research on psychological factors for PTSD among Korea Coast Guard Officers. Experts and scholars warn that PTSD will slow down the function of the job satisfaction and job performance and can even cause depression in various cases. Finally, it will also cause injury, disease, retirement because of the pain of the trauma. Therefore effective systems for reducing this PTSD include relaxation and behavioral changes needs to find ways in Korea Coast Guard Officers. That is, the purpose of this study examine psychological characteristics associate with PTSD in Korea Coast Guard Officers and analysis of relationship between PTSD perception and job satisfaction for different gender.
