사교육의 배움력 발현(發顯)

A Proposition to Reveal the Power of Erudition In Private Education

사교육은 단순히 입시 과외만을 의미하는 것이 아니라 보다 포괄적인 개념이다. 사교육은 자기 계발을 위한 투자이며 배우는 이들 모두의 선택권이기도 하다. 사교육은 나름대로의 독자적인 자생력을 지니고 있다. 사교육과 공교육은 서로 반(反)하는 대체적 개념이 아니다. 사교육과 공교육은 서로 각자의 목표를 가지고 각자의 전략을 추진하며 온전한 교육을 완성해 나가는 보완적 개념인 것이다. 그런 의미에서, 사교육은 공교육뿐만 아니라 다른 사교육과도 각자적으로 뿐만 아니라 상호 협력적으로 연계하고 조직화 할 필요가 있다. 그 가운데서 전방위적인 소통직업이 요구된다. 이른 위해서는 사교육에 대한 국민적인 정서가 보다 긍정적이고 현실적으로 전환될 필요가 있으며, 동시에 사교육을 교육문제의 주요 원인으로 바라보며 통제하려는 관점 또한 전환될 필요가 있다. 무엇보다도, 사교육에 잠재된 배움력을 발견(發見)하고 발굴(發掘)하고 발현(發顯)시키는 작업이 선행되어야 할 것이다.

The private education has its own generating power. That is the power of erudition. The private education is the investment for self developing and the rights for all people who want to learn everything. That is to say, the private education is not the substitutional goods compatible with the public education, but the complementary goods to the public education. The private education is not the shadow. It is the other important feature in Korean education. Both of them, the private and the public education, need to set their own goals, take their own strategies, and do their best to accomplish the whole education. At this juncture, it is necessary for the private education to collaborate and inter-experience with not only eachness but also the public education. For this, instead of focusing on the short-term countermeasures to mitigate the demand for the private education, it is necessary to set up the comprehensive and long-term perspective for the whole education. That is the primary way of exploring, excavating and revealing the power of erudition in the private education.
