평생학습도시, 배움공간의 아이콘

The Recommendations of Lifelong Learning City As ICON for the Space of Erudition

본 연구는 배움의 공간으로서 평생학습도시를 위한 배움학적 제언을 하는 것을 그 목적으로 상정하였다. 평생학습도시를 건설하는데 있어서 평생학습에만 관심을 가질 뿐, 도시라는 공간에 대한 관심이 적음이 현재까지 진행 중인 평생학습도시건설의 문제였다. 본 연구에서는 평생학습도시의 이상적인 철학적 모델로서 고대 그리스의 배움 공간이었던 아고라(Agora)로 정하고, 현재의 평생학습도시를 고대 그리스의 아고라와 같은 공간으로 완성하기 위한 배움학적 전략으로서 향상(Improvement), 통합 및 조화(Coordination), 개방성(Openness), 그리고 학습망 구축(Network)을 제안하였다. 이들 네 가지 전략은 평생학습도시가 미래지향적으로 발전하기 위한 아이콘(ICON)으로 활용되리라는 기대감도 설명하였다. 마지막으로 미래지향적 ICON으로서의 평생학습도시를 위한 제언으로서 평생학습의 개념적 재설정, 외국 사례의 재고찰, 그리고 주민 중심의 평생학습도시건설을 강조하였다.

The purpose of this study was to give recommendations for constructing the lifelong learning city as the space of erudition. Until now, most researches in terms of lifelong learning city have been focused on the "lifelong learning", not "space". In this study, the researcher suggested the agora of the ancient Greece time as the idea model of the erudite community to construct the lifelong learning city. To develop the lifelong learning city like the agora, the researcher proposed the four strategies as ICON for the future. The first was 'Improvement' for the quality of residents who wanted to make their lives better than before. The second was 'Coordination' for harmonizing the residents' lives among the lifelong, lifewide, and lifedeep erudition. The third was "openness" to develop programs for being satisfied with the needs and demands of the residents. the final was "network" to expand the learning space in use of edgecation system. the researcher concluded that those four strategies will be the ICON to develop the lifelong learning city for the future. In addition, the researcher called for the resetting of philosophy of lifelong learning, reflecting the case studies of foreign nations, and constructing the city based on the residents' lives in terms of the erudition.
