디다케, 예수의 교육학

신약성서의 4복음서들이 예수의 교육활동에 대하여 보도할 때 사용한 용어는 그리스어의 ‘디다케’ 어군이었다. 4복음서들의 ‘내용분석을 통하여 확인한 ‘디다케’ 어군은 ‘선생님”이란 의미의 ‘디다스칼로스’가 41번, “가르치다”란 의미의 ‘디다스코’가 49번, 그리고 “가르침”이란 의미의 ‘디다케’가 10번의 빈도를 가지고 예수의 교육적 신원과 교육적 활동, 그리고 교육적 총체를 의미하기 위해서 사용되었다. 역사의 예수는 당대의 동시대인들에게 무엇보다도 “선생님”이란 칭호로 불렸다. 그리고 그가 군중과 제자들을 가르치는 일은 그의 가장 주요한 활동들 중의 하나였으며, 그의 교육목적은 인간 모두가 함께 나누고 서로 사랑하는 공동체로서의 “하느님의 나라”였는데, 이 목적을 수행하는 교육방법으로서 그는 육화의 원리에 입각한 청자 친화적인 비유를 사용하였다. 더 나아가서 복음서의 저자들은 ‘디다스코’를 “복음을 선포하다”란 의미의 ‘케뤽소’와 동의어로 사용함으로써, 예수의 교육에 있어서 인간의 전인적 완성과 종교적 구원은 둘이 아닌 하나의 목표임을 보여주었다. ‘디다케’는 이러한 예수의 교육적 총체를 의미하는 것이며, 현대 교육학은 예수의 ‘디다케’를 상업화와 이기주의화가 심화되어 가는 현대 교육의 난맥을 극복할 수 있는 본질적이자 궁극적인 교육학으로서 연구하고 활용할 필요가 있다.

The vocabulary that the four Gospels of the New Testament employed for the educational ministry of Jesus is the word group 'didache' which is composed of 'didaskalos,' 'didasko,' and 'didache.' According to the Content Analysis, 'didaskalos' is used in 41 times to designate for the educational identity of historical Jesus, 'didasko' in 49 times for the educational ministry of Him, and 'didache' in 10 times for the wholeness of His pedagogy. Jesus used to be called 'Teacher' by the crowd as well as His disciples and education was one of the major parts of His public ministry. His aim of education was 'the Kingdom of God' and His method of education was the principle of Incarnation through parables. The Evangelists employed 'kerysso' which meant 'to proclaim the Gospel' as synonym with 'didasko' which meant 'to educate' so that they showed the all-round perfection of human being and the religious salvation of him was nothing but one. 'Didache' means such wholeness of Jesus' education and modern pedagogy needs to study and apply the pedagogy of Jesus as essential and ultimate pedagogy to overcome the distortion of today's education in which commercialization and egoism are deepening more and more.
