Analysis of Coastline by Satellite Image and GPS

국가 경제의 급속한 성장에 따른 국토전반에 걸친 개발로 인해 국토 및 해안선의 모습은 날로 변화하고 있다. 특히, 삼면이 바다인 우리나라의 특성상 해안선의 명확한 정립과 함께 체계적인 자료수집, 현황분석 및 활용방안 등을 위한 종합적인 관리체계의 구축은 향후 효율적인 국토관리를 위해 매우 중요한 역할을 하게 될 것이다. 본 논문에서는 연구대상의 지역적 범위를 부산근교로 한정하여 일정 간격의 항공사진, 위성영상 자료 및 GPS 측량결과를 이용하여 해안선에 대한 변화 모니터링을 수행하였다. 추출된 해안선을 분석한 결과 일부 지역에서 상당한 크기의 해안선 침식과 퇴적이 발생한 것을 확인할 수 있었으며 조사결과는 향후 해안선 변화를 연구하는데 중요한 기초자료로 활용될 수 있을 것이다.

Due to the drastic growth of national economy and the development of overall territory, the shapes of national land and coastlines are changing from day to day. With the country's three sides facing the ocean, it is very important for Korea to establish an integrated management system to clearly define the coastlines, systematically collect data on the changes of coastlines, analyze the status of such areas and use the results of the analysis. This paper used aerial photographs, satellite image data and GPS survey data with certain intervals to monitor the change in coastlines. We were able to ascertain considerable erosion and accumulation in some parts of study area. Results of coastline change detection can provide useful information for related studies.
