The Influence that Parents of Disabled Children's Parenting Stress has on Abuse of Disabled Children - The Moderation Effects of Social Supports

본 연구는 장애아동 부모의 양육스트레스가 장애아동 학대에 미치는 영향에 대한 사회적 지지의 조절효과를 살펴보고자 하였으며, 이를 위해 우선 장애아동 부모의 양육스트레스에 영향을 미치는 요인을 살펴보고, 부모의 양육스트레스와 사회적 지지가 장애아동학대에 어떠한 영향을 미치는 지를 살펴보았다. 분석을 위해 발달장애아동 부모 138명을 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하였으며, 그 결과 장애아동부모의 양육스트레스에 영향을 미치는 요인으로는 부모연령, 월평균소득, 아동의 일상생활기능 수준, 방과후 시간, 장애유형으로 나타났다. 또한 장애아동학대에 영향을 미치는 요인으로는 부모연령, 거주하는 방형태, 아동연령, 부모의 양육스트레스, 사회적 지지로 분석되었으며, 부모의 양육스트레스가 장애아동학대에 미치는 영향을 부모의 사회적 지지가 조절할 수 있는 것으로 확인되었다. 따라서 이러한 연구결과를 바탕으로 부모의 양육스트레스를 감소시키고 사회적 지지를 강화시켜 장애아동학대를 감소시킬 수 있는 방안에 대한 사회복지적 함의를 제안하였다.

This study tries to examine the moderation effects of social supports on the influence that parents of disabled children's parenting stress has on abuse of disabled children. For this, the study first takes a look at factors that have influence on parenting stress of disabled children's parents, and then examines what influence parenting stress and social supports have on abuse of disabled children. For the sake of analysis, a questionnaire survey was conducted with 138 parents of disabled children, and as a result, parents' ages, average monthly income, children's levels of everyday life functions, afterschool hours, and types of disability turned out to appear as factors having influence on parenting stress of disabled children's parents. Also, parents' ages, forms of dwelling rooms, children's ages, parents' parenting stress, and social supports were analyzed as factors having influence on child abuse, and the influence of parents' parenting stress on abuse of disabled children turned out to be moderated by parents' social supports. Thus, on the basis of these results, this study proposes implications in social welfare about methods to decrease abuse of disabled children by reducing parents' parenting stress and consolidating social supports.
