생태 그림책에 기초한 자연체험활동이 유아의 과학적 탐구능력과 자연친화적 태도에 미치는 영향

The influence of nature experience activities based on ecological picture books on both scientific research skills and natural friendly attitude for the children

본 연구의 목적은 생태그림책에 기초한 자연체험활동이 유아의 과학적 탐구능력 및 자연친화적 태도에 미치는 영향을 알아보기 위한 것이었다. 연구대상은 D광역시에 소재한 C유치원 만4세 유아들(실험집단 25명, 비교집단 24명)이며, 생태그림책에 기초한 자연체험활동은 2013년 8월 26일부터 10월 14일까지 6주 동안 매주 4회씩 총 24회 실시되었다. SPSS를 활용하여 t검증을 실시한 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 생태그림책에 기초한 자연체험활동을 경험한 실험집단의 유아는 경험하지 않은 비교집단의 유아보다 과학적 탐구능력 총점에서 유의미한 차이를 나타냈으며, 특히 '예측하기', '관찰하기', '분류하기'에 대한 과학적 탐구능력 점수가 유의미하게 향상된 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 생태그림책에 기초한 자연체험활동을 경험한 실험집단의 유아는 경험하지 않은 비교집단의 유아보다 자연친화적 태도 총점에서 유의미한 차이를 나타냈으며, 특히 '자연보호태도'에 대한 자연친화적 태도 점수가 유의미하게 향상된 것으로 나타났다.

The purpose of this study is to identify the affection of nature experience activities based on ecological picture books on both scientific research skills and natural friendly attitude for young children. 25 children at the age of four in the educational institution located in D city are chosen for the experimental group, and 24 children for comparison group. Nature experience activities based on ecological picture books were done twenty-four times in total, four times a week, for six weeks from 26th August 2013 to 14th October 2013. Followings are the results from t-test with SPSS 12.0. First, the difference between the children in the experimental group who experienced nature experience activities based on ecological picture books and the children who did not was significant in the total score for scientific research skills. More significantly increased to the children in the experimental group who experienced nature experience activities than the children who did not is the score in the sub factors for scientific research skills; prediction, observation, division. Second, the difference between the children in the experimental group who experienced nature experience activities based on ecological picture books and the children who did not was significant in the total score for nature friendly attitude. The score of 'nature conservation attitude' which is the sub factor for nature friendly attitude is significantly increased to the children in the experimental group who experienced nature experience activities based on ecological picture books when compared the children who did not.
