A Study on the Vitalization Approaches for Urban Renewal Project through Introduction of Participatory PFV in Korea

1. CONTENTS (1) RESEARCH OBJECTIVES The purposes of this research are to examine the factors of current urban-renewal project's slump, analyze public roles and possibilit ies of participation and suggest the projects form to promote urban-renewal project smoothly. (2) RESEARCH METHOD This study has tried to conclusion by studying the related documents and also focused on in-depth int erview. (3) RESEARCH FINDINGS By synthesizing precedent researches urban-renewal project and implications of issues. four fundamental directions of 'participatory PFV urban-renewal project' suggested in this research. 2. RESULTS This research expects following political implications by suggesting 'participatory PFV' as the measure for vitalizing urban-renewal projects. The results of this research are significant as the measure of housing welfare policy for housing the poor and tenants. A new paradigm which maintains people's communal character and region's organic characteristics well through the urban-renewal project and preserve the community is requested.
