This study examines developments in environmental provisions by focusing on recent regional trade agreements with substantive environmental content, and investigates recent developments in assessing the environmental impacts of regional trade agreements. As more substantive environmental provisions are likely to be strengthened in future regional trade agreements, Korea needs a heated debate and appropriate policy response on this matter.
