Sensibility Factors and Preferences of Casual Shirts with Check Pattern

The purpose of this study was to investigate the student's sensibility factors and preferences for casual shirts with check pattern such as gingham check, window pane check, burberry check, plaid check. A questionnaire survey was conducted on 228 university students(male students 36.4%, female students 63.4%) in Cheongju. F-test, t-test correlation coefficient and factor analysis were used for data analysis. The sensibility for casual shirts with check pattern were classified into four factors: 'modern/active', 'confident', 'professional' and 'relax'. There were significant differences according to the check pattern in the sensibility for the casual shirts. The plaid check pattern were evaluated to be more modern/active sensibility than the others, and the burberry check pattern the more confident sensibility. Also, the window pane check pattern were evaluated to be more professional sensibility than the others, and the gingham check pattern the more relax sensibility. There were partially significant relationships between the personal properties of university students and the preferences for casual shirts with check pattern.
