The purpose of this study was to explore non-capital region college students' expectation on their post-college housing and source of housing costs. Between May 28 and June 17, 2012, a questionnaire survey was conducted to students at the Chungbuk National University and 120 responses from students from non-capital regions expecting their post-college housing in Seoul Metropolitan area were analyzed. Major findings are as follows: (1) Majority of the respondents expected to rent a housing unit and those with relatively greater parent income tended to show a greater expectation on home purchase or Jeon-se rent; (2) more than one fourth of the respondents expected to reside in studio or Officetel; (3) to afford post-college housing cost, nearly 70 percent of the respondents expected financial support from their parents and family, and females tended to have a greater expectation on their family's financial support; (4) in selecting post-college housing, public transportation and proximity to work were found to be the most important considerations; and (5) concerns on housing cost could also affect job selection.
