폴란드의 페스탈로치 야누쉬 코르착(Janusz Korczak)의 교육사상과 실천

본 연구는 야누쉬 코르착의 독일어판 전집(전16권)을 중심으로 그의 교육사상과 교육실천의 특징을 파악하고자 하였다. 그를 위하여 본 연구는 코르착의 다양한 글들이 이상(교육의 목적)-현실(현실비판)-실험(실천과정)의 구조로 이해될 수 있다는 관점을 취하였다. 이러한 관점으로부터 본 연구는 다음과 같은 내용을 다루었다. 먼저, 코르착의 국내외 연구 및 관련활동 현황, 코르착의 삶을 통하여 코르착에 대한 이해를 돕고자 하였다. 그리고 그의 글 구조의 중심에 자리하고 있는 것으로 보이는 '교육적 관계'를 통하여 코르착의 교육사상과 실천의 특징을 드러내고자 하였다. 마지막으로 우리 교육에 줄 수 있는 시사점을 도출하고, 향후 관련 연구의 가능성을 언급하였다. 시사점으로는 아이에 대한 교육자로서의 성인의 반성적 태도와 아이의 삶에 참여하여 교육이론을 구성할 수 있는 교육자의 능력을 들었다.

The purpose of this study is to identify the characteristics of Janusz Korczak's educational idea and practice in his 16 German Edition Complete Works. Korczak's various writings can be understood in this structure: ideal(educational purpose) - the real(reality criticism) - experiment(practical process). From this perspective, this study is organized as follows. First, it treats of studies on his thought and activities related to Korczak for helping to understand. Secondly, it exposes the characteristics of his educational idea and practice through 'Educational Relationship' in his writing's structure. Finally, it derives the implication on Korean education, and presents the possibility of future relevant research. The implications can be the reflective attitude of the adult, as an educator for the child and the educator's ability to construct educational theory by participating in the child's life.
