과학탐구 프로그램 참여 경험이 중학생들의 과학적 태도와 문제해결력에 미치는 영향

Influence of the Participation of Science Inquiry Program on Middle School Students' Scientific Attitude and Problem Solving Ability

이 연구의 목적은 과학탐구 프로그램에 참여한 경험이 중학생들의 문제해결력과 과학적 태도에 영향을 미치는지 알아보기 위한 것이다. 이 연구의 대상은 과학탐구 프로그램에 참여한 중학생 50명이다. 이 연구는 단일집단 사전사후 검사 설계를 바탕으로 이루어졌다. 사전 사후 검사에 대한 t-검정 결과 참여 학생들의 문제해결력과 과학적 태도는 사전 검사보다 사후 검사에서 더 높게 나타나 유의미한 차이가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 이와 같은 결과는 과학탐구 프로그램이 단기간 실시되었다는 한계에도 불구하고 참여 학생들의 과학적 태도와 문제해결력 향상에 긍정적 효과가 있었음을 보여주고 있다. 또한 과학적 태도의 하위 요소들과 문제해결력 하위 요소들간의 상관관계 분석 결과 높은 상관관계를 나타내었다. 이 결과는 문제해결력과 과학적 태도를 연계한 구성이 과학탐구 프로그램 개발에 효과적임을 시사한다.

The purpose of this study was to investigate influence of the participation of science inquiry program on middle school students' scientific attitude and problem solving ability. The subjects of this study were 50 middle school students participated in science inquiry program. This study was designed a singlegroup pre-post test. The results of t-test for pre-post test showed statistically significant difference of scientific attitude and problem solving ability. These results revealed the advancement on students' scientific attitude and problem solving ability despite the fact that the program have been carried out short-term. Also there was high correlation between sub-elements of the scientific attitude and problem-solving ability in the result of correlation analysis. This result imply that conjunction with problem-solving and scientific attitude will be effective in development process of science inquiry program.
