The purpose of this study is to elaborate the investment environment risks which confront Korean SMEs(Small and Middle-sized Enterprises) in China and to analyze the extent to which these investment environment risks and corresponding strategies affect performance satisfaction. The previous studies on foreign investment risks have mainly examined macro approaches to political risks. However, foreign-invested companies actually face the risks of micro-level such as a local investment environment. Through proposed empirical analyses, we categorized the investment environment risks and the corresponding strategies for Korean SMEs in China and presented the correlation among the investment environment risks, the corresponding strategies, and the performance satisfaction. Empirical results present that risk factors influencing the performance satisfaction be proved to be competition and financial operation risks. The research shows that potential risks to foreign investments should be managed strategically on the basis of the understanding of an international investment environment. Its major contribution is on both managing the risks and establishing the corresponding strategies to mψrove the foreign investment performance for Korean SMEs in China.
