연기, 마음, 그리고 '합심'사회의 사회학

Dependent Arising, the Mind and Sociology of the HAPSIM 合心(Unified Mind) Society

이 글의 목적은, 연기적 세계관과 마음 개념 그리고 그 산물인 '합심'사회를 연구대상으로 설정하여 그 관련성들을 체계적으로 논증 및 실증함으로써, 인간과 사회의 이분법적 이 론구조에서 벗어날 수 있는 새로운가능성을탐색하는데 있다.이러한목적을달성하기 위하여 이글에서는 우선 모든 존재를 원인과 조건의 결합으로 이해함으로써 개인이든 사회이든 구조이든 행위이든 그 어떤 실체화도 부정할 뿐만 아니라대립자사이의 이분법적 관계설정그자체를근원적으로지양하는 '의존적 발생(緣起)'의 원리를 자세히 논의하였다. 또한 연기의 원리가 인간사회의 사회적 관계에 적용될 때 그 관계를 매개하여 에너지와 정보를 조율하는 마음 개념을 자세하게 논의해 보고 마음과 마음의 어울림, 즉 합심이 사회구성의 결정적인 요소임을 밝혔다. 그런 다음 합심개념이 사회전체를 구성하는 각 사회단위에서 어떻게 구체적으로 활용되고 있는지를 실증하였다. 이러한 논의를 통하여 우리는 다음과 같은 사실을 확인할 수 있었다: '마음(미시)과 사회 (거시)를 의존적 발생의 원리에 따라 상즉상입의 관계로 이해할 수 있는 이론적 정식은, 인간과 사회의 대립 혹은 구조와 행위의 대립을 지양할 수 있는 가능성을 지닌다'.

The purpose of this study is searching for the possibility of overcome the theoretical limits of sociology with its dichotomy between man and society. It focuses on exploring the synthesis of a viewpoint of dependent arising and the concept of the mind to create a HAPSIM (unified mind) society, and systematically substantiating its relevance. To achieve this purpose, this study set up the research design as follows . First, we discuss the rule of dependent arising. Second, we discussed mind and HAPSIM (Unified Mind) that regulate the energy and information mediating the relations of man and society. Third, we verified the possibility of HAPSIM society being used in social units as the family, school, company, community, nationstate, and world. We conclude that the theoretical framework of mutual causality between mind and society has the possibility of overcome the theoretical framework of the dichotomy between man and society.
