A Pilot Study on the Characteristics of the Industrial Relations Found in Britain, Germany and France

본 연구는 영국, 독일, 프랑스의 노사관계 특징 및 변화를 역사적으로 분석하였다. 다양한 요인들이 영향을 주고 있는데, 특히 각국의 문화적, 제도적인 요인의 영향이 지대하다. 이것은 각국 나름의 독특성으로 연결되었다. 또한 글로벌 경쟁구도 하에서 위 국가들 공히 생존을 위해 바람직한 방향으로의 변화를 공유하고 있는데, 이를 요약하면 정치적인 측면보다는 실용성이 강조되고 있고, 동시에 전통적인 형태인 국가나 산별차원보다는 사업장이 노사관계의 중심으로 전환되고 있는 추세이다.

This study reveals the key characteristics of the industrial relations found in Britain, Germany and France. Various factors actually had decisive influences upon them. Particularly, the influences of the cultural and institutional factors were immense. This led to the uniqueness that each was able to maintain for a while. However, under the current global competition, all the three are subject to common experience. This could be summarized as follow: the key characteristics of the industrial relations found in the three nations have become dominated by more practical and decentralized approaches.
