특수학교의 초등과정에 배치된 초임 특수교사의 교직적응에 관한 사례연구

A Case Study about Special Education Teachers' Adjustment to Teaching Profession in Elementary School

본 연구는 특수학교의 초등과정에 배치된 초임 특수교사가 겪는 경험을 통해 교직적응에 관한 의미를 분석하는 데 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 특수학교의 초등과정에서 근무하는 초임 특수교사 1명을 연구 참여자로 선정하여 주로 심층면담 기법을 사용하여 자료를 수집하고 분석하였다. 이 연구에 따르면 연구 참여자의 수업활동의 고충으로는 ‘이론과 실제의 괴리감’, ‘여러 가지 문제행동과 난해한 행동수정’, ‘시급한 특수교육 보조 인력’으로 나타났다. 연구 참여자의 학급경영은 ‘생활지도 중심’으로 밝혀졌다. 연구 참여자의 인간관계 형성을 살펴보면, 학생과의 관계는 ‘마냥 편하게 지내기’, 관리자와의 관계는 ‘웃어른으로 모시기’, 학무모와의 관계는 ‘내재된 긴장감 갖기’, 동료교사와의 관계는 ‘서로 간에 편하게 지내기’로 분석되었다. 연구 참여자의 행정업무는 ‘밀려드는 일의 양’으로 드러났다. 이 연구결과를 기초로 하여 특수학교의 초등과정에 배치된 초임 특수교사의 바람직한 교직적응을 위한 각종 지원방안과 후속연구의 시사점을 제시하였다.

The purpose of this study is to analyze the meaning of a teaching profession adaptation through a newly appointed teacher’s experience in a special elementary school. For this study, a first appointed teacher is selected and a deep interview research is used. According to this study, the difficulties of teaching in a class are ‘The different between theory and reality’, ‘The various problem actions and the abstruse behavior adjustment’, ‘Urgent special education assistants’. The participant focuses on a behaviour modification method in a class management. Participant’s human relationship shows that ‘Feeling free with the Students’, ‘A reverent attitude with an Administer’, ‘Having inner tension with Parents’, ‘Living free with Co-workers’, ‘A huge amount of paperwork in the administrative support’. This study suggests the various supports and continuous studies for a newly appointed special elementary teacher’s adjustment. The purpose of this study is to analyze the meaning of the educational adaptation through the experience who attending a special elementary teacher.
