This study was performed to analyze the awareness and the purchase practice of environment-friendly fashion products among university students. A questionnaire survey was conducted on 298 university students(male students 50.0%, female students 50.0%) in Cheongju, Korea. F-test, t-test, correlation coefficient and factor analysis were used for data analysis. The attitudes toward eco-friendly consciousness were classified into 4 factors: 'environmental concerns', 'energy saving', 'purchase intention of eco-friendly products', and 'environmental conservation'. There were partially significant differences by the gender in the attitudes toward eco-friendly consciousness. Female students were more positive than males for the 'environmental concerns' factor. The degree of perception of mulberry fiber, organic cotton fiber, artificial leather fabric, artificial fur clothing and natural dyed fabric was higher than compare to bamboo fiber and recycled fiber product. There were partially significant relationships between the attitudes toward eco-friendly consciousness and the awareness of environment-friendly fashion products among university students. 22.6% of the respondents have ever purchased the environment-friendly fashion products.
