A Small Comments on the Necessity of Copyright-education in the Elementary, Middle and High School in Korea

This article is dedicated to clarify the necessity of copyrighteducation in the elementary, middle and high school in Korea. In recent days, many copyright infringement cases are occurred in Korea. Almost 40% cases are infringed by the middle and high school students who did not have norm consciousness about copyright correctly. I think that the purpose of elementary, middle and high school education is to let a student have human being conditions as to live with other people together during his or her life. One of the conditions is to have a norm consciousness of social behaviour. As time passes and culture industries have been developed in Korea, according to my opinion, a norm consciousness about copyright, or copyrighted works is very important. As to the Korean Education Principle Act, the Nation and the local government must enforce a ethic-policy in all education process. I have thought that one of the ethic-policy in all education process that is to be practiced is at any cost to give a student a norm consciousness about copyright or creativeness. The Korean education system which consists of elementary, middle and high school in regular sequence makes a norm consciousness about copyright in school and in society expand and strengthen efficiently.
