전통미술문화교육의 연구 동향 분석

Analysis of Research Trends in Korea Traditional Cultural Art Education: Focused on Journals

그동안 미술교육 연구 동향에 대한 논문들은 꾸준히 발표되었지만 전통미술문화교육의 연구 동향에 대한 연구는 거의 이루어지지 않았다. 이에 본 연구는 이 분야 연구의 활성화를 위한 기초조사로 미술교육 관련 학술지인 『미술교육논총』, 『미술교육연구논총』, 『조형교육』에 2013년까지 발표된 1700 편의 논문 중에서 전통미술문화교육과 관련된 논문 156편의 연구 동향을 조사하였다. 전통미술문화교육의 연구 동향은 다음과 같다. 첫째, 연구 연도를 분석한 결과 2006년 이후 매년 세 학술지 모두에 전통미술문화 관련 논문이 게재되었으나 전체 논문 수에 비해 많지 않았다. 둘째, 연구자 중에는 교수가 가장 높은 비율을 차지하였으며, 1998년 이후 2인 이상의 공동 연구가 꾸준히 이루어지고 있다. 셋째, 연구 대상은 초동학교급과 초등학생을 대상으로 한 연구가 가장 많았다. 넷째, 연구 주제의 경우 교과교육학에서 미술과 교수ㆍ학습을 주제로 연구가 활발히 진행되었다. 다섯째, 연구 방법은 실행연구, 역사적 연구, 철학적 연구 순으로 많이 활용되었다.

Meanwhile, sustained research efforts have been channeled into research trends in art education, but few studies have ever examined research trends in traditional art and culture education. The purpose of this study was to examine research trends in traditional art and culture education in an attempt to step up the vitalization of research on this field. 156 articles on traditional art and culture education were selected from among 1,700 articles that had appeared in "Art Education Review", "Art Education Research Review" and "Journal of Art Education" until 2013. Analysis criteria for the year of research, researcher, subjects, theme and research method were selected based on earlier studies of research trends in art education, and the selected articles were classified according to the criteria. The findings of the study were as follows: First, articles related to traditional art culture appeared in all the three academic journals every year in and after 2006, but the number of the articles wasn't large in consideration of the total number of articles. Second, as for researchers, professors were the most common researchers of the studies, and joint studies by two or more researchers were steadily implemented in and after 1998. Third, concerning subjects, elementary schools and elementary school students were the most dominant subjects of the studies. Fourth, as to theme of research, teaching and learning for art in the field of Subject Matter Education were the most common theme of the studies. Fifth, in terms of the frequency of research methods, action studies were implemented the most, followed by historical studies and philosophical studies.
