The biblical teachings about the sexual relationship that is to existwithin covenant of marriage between the husband and the wife aretaught in 1 Corinthians 7:1-5. This study firstly researches Paul'sstrictures on immorality, previously expounded upon in 1 Corinthians6:12-20. Secondly, this study will discuss the proper husband-wiferelationship that is to exist inside marriage. Within the dictates of 1Corinthians 7:1-5, Paul asserted that, while it is natural for somepeople not to marry, a normal sexual relationship between thehusband and the wife is essential for the well being of the couple'sspiritual life and that both partners are to have equal authority overone another. This paper will discuss the general principles of theproper sexual relationship that is to exist between the husband andthe wife within marriage.
