The Greek and the Korean language are relatively free from rules about the placement of words and word order. However, the underlying structure and word order are totally different from each other. The biggest difference between the word orders among Greek and Korean is clearly showed in the placement of verbs in a sentence. In Greek sentences, the verb is usually placed second, namely: after the subject. The subjects and the verbs always go together and the explaining phrases are added after the main verbs in various ways. In Korean, however, the verbs always appear at the last. All the explaining phrases and even the sub-sentences are placed before the main verb, namely between the subject and the verb. Because of these different characteristics, the Greek sentences show a reverse word order in comparison to the Korean sentences which have the same meaning. This article deals with the question in the Lord's Prayer, with which sphere is the added phrase, "on earth as it is in heaven (10c)," concerned among the first three petitions, "hallowed be your name(9c)," "your kingdom come(10a)," and "your will be done(10b)"? In the Greek or English form, the added phrase, "as in heaven also on earth" is located after the third petition but is translated in front of the third petition in the Korean prayer. Even though the place of the added phrase is different in the Korean or the Greek/English, the added phrase is directly connected to the third petition. In the Greek/English text of the Lord's Prayer the added phrase can be related to the first two petitions as well as the third. If we want to mark the possibility of the added phrase in the Korean Bible to modify not only the third petition but also the previous two petitions, we must change the placement of the added phrase. The best place for the added phrase in the Korean Lord's Prayer to show a relationship to all three petitions is 10c-9c-10a-10b. As in heaven also on earth Your name be hallowed Your kingdom come Your will be done
