This study aims to re-read Luke-Acts from the angle of narrative politics. For a long time, the Luke's volume was regarded as simply an account of the history of the early church, and the Acts of Holy Spirit or the Acts of Mission. This is very true when we analyse them from a conventional reading style. However, there was an undercurrent beneath his whole volume in terms of political dimension. Even though Luke-Acts do not intend to make propaganda against the Roman empire, they want to disclose the power of the Gospel proclaimed by Jesus. Luke feel the need to hoard one's intention that the early Christian Community had to survive under the rule of Roman power. However, it is not closely related to the political apologetics as Hans Conzelmann maintains that the delayed parousia of Jesus makes the church consider how to survive under politically unfavourable conditions. On the contrary, the original intention of Luke's narrative world is to assist the early church's Christians to witness the Gospel of Jesus.
