경영수업에서 문제중심학습 적용을 위한 사례연구

A Case Study for Applying Problem-Based Learning to Business Class

본 연구는 2011년 가을학기 조직구조론 수강자들을 대상으로 문제중심학습의 교수법을 적용한 사례를 구성한 것이다. 수강생들은 조직이 성장함에 따라 경험하게 될 조직설계 변화의 문제를 내용으로 한 3개의 시나리오를 읽고 이를 해결하기 위한 효과적 조직구조를 제시하는 것으로 학업성취도를 평가 받았고, 본 수업방식의 효과성은 학생들의 설문응답과 강의평가를 바탕으로 측정하였다. 본 연구결과는 문제중심학습의 교수법이 학생들의 기초개념에 대한 이해뿐만 아니라 이를 응용한 개념화 및 추론능력, 창의력, 자기 주도적 학습능력, 협동력 그리고 리더십 등을 육성하는데 기여하고 있음을 사례로 제시하였다는 점에 의의가 있다.

This study is a case study applying problem-based learning (PBL) to organizational design class in the fall of 2011. Students read three scenarios which included problems facing pressures had to change organizational structure to overcome internal and external threats, which might generally experience according to organizational growth and had to submit solutions for each problem. The effectiveness of PBL pedagogy was evaluated by student responses for survey and course evaluation. The results showed that PBL pedagogy contributed to rear the conceptualization, reasoning ability, creativity, self-directed learning, cooperation and leadership as well as students' understanding of basic concepts.
