'발표'와 '쓰기' 통합 수업 설계와 적용 사례 연구

A Case Study of Lesson Planning and Application of Integrated Instruction of 'Presentation' and 'Writing'

본 논문은 글쓰기의 교수 효과를 높이기 위한 방법으로 '발표'와 '쓰기'를 통합하여 수업을 설계하고, 이러한 절차를 준수한 교수ㆍ학습이 학습자들의 글쓰기 능력을 향상시키는 데 실제적인 효과가 있음을 증명한 것이다. 본고는 이와 같은 통합 설계 과정을 통해 글쓰기 교수ㆍ학습에 대한 새로운 방법을 제시하고자 한다. '발표'와 '쓰기' 통합 수업은 일반적인 글쓰기 교재가 제시하는 글쓰기의 절차를 숙지시키는 것으로 설계한다. 이 과정에서 한글문서를 작성하는 방법이라든지, 양질의 소재를 찾기 위하여 정보를 검색하는 방법, 인용 방식 등을 최대한 자세하게 사례 중심으로 강의한다. 모둠이 구성된 후 교수자는 글쓰기의 절차에 입각하여 강의를 진행한다. 이후 모둠에서 스스로 정한 주제를 피드백 한 후에 발표 슬라이드를 작성 하도록 요구한다. 각각의 모둠이 슬라이드의 발표를 마치고 나면 이를 토대로 완결된 글을 작성하도록 지도한다. 이때 발표를 진행하는 과정에서 수정된 제목, 주제, 개요 등을 반영하여 글을 쓰도록 요구한다. 교수자는 첨삭의 과정을 거친 후 학습자 각자가 쓴 글에 대하여 피드백을 진행하도록 한다. 개별적인 글에 대한 첨삭지도가 끝나면 이를 토대로 수정한 글을 제출하도록 한다. 글로 생각을 논리적으로 표현하는 것이 결코 쉬운 일은 아니다. 글쓰기에 익숙하지 않은 저학년 대학생들을 대상으로 한 글쓰기 교육은 더욱 많은 공력을 필요로 한다. 따라서 교수자는 글 쓰는 행위의 실제적이고 철학적인 의미를 상기하여 학습자들이 좀더 쉽게 글쓰기를 익힐 수 있는 방법을 고민해야 한다. '발표'와 '쓰기'의 통합 수업은 그런 면에서 의미 있는 교수 설계의 한 사례가 될 것이다.

This article is to guide the lesson planning integrating 'presentation' and 'writing' as a way of enhancing the teaching effectiveness of writing and to prove the actual effectiveness of this method in improving learners' writing ability. In this paper, I am going to suggest a new method of teaching and learning through the process of integrated lesson planning likewise. You design the integrated instruction of 'presentation' and 'writing' so that learners comprehend the procedure of writing that common writing textbooks propose generally. In the process, you instruct how to draw up a document on a word processor, how to retrieve information to find quality material, the way to take a quotation and so on as specifically as possible, focusing on examples. After forming groups, the instructor gives a lecture based on the procedure of writing. Afterward each group is asked to make the topic of its own into slides of presentation. Each group finishing the presentation of slides, the instructor leads the learners to complete their compositions based on the presentation. At this point, learners are asked to write reflecting the title, topic, outline and so on revised in the process of the presentation. The instructor gives a feedback on each learner's composition after the process of correction. Finishing the correction of each composition, learners have to submit their works revised based upon the correction. It is not easy at all to express one's thoughts in written words logically. Much more elaboration is necessary for the writing instruction aimed at junior college students who are not accustomed to writing. Therefore, a instructor should consider how learners can master writing a bit more easily, reminding learners of the practical and philosophical meaning of the act of writing. In that aspect, the integrated instruction of 'presentation' and 'writing' would be an example of significant lesson planning.
