The Present Situation and Improvement of Modern Logistics in China

China s logistic sector is growing at an extraordinary rate thanks to the rapid expansion of the country s industrial base and the rise of domestic markets. Essential to the development of China s economy, the logistics sector has received considerable attention from policy makers and is attracting growing volumes of both foreign and domestic investment. Modern logistics industry such as green logistics, logistics information, the fourth party logistics, etc. plays an important role in developing china s economy. The government is fully aware of how possible inefficiencies in the logistics in the logistics sector are impacting wider economic growth and is in the gradual process of addressing these through a combination of regulatory measures. The Chinese government has been focusing on developing those modern logistics industry and many logistics companies have been created and investment for logistics infrastructure has been expanded. Chinese government will promote low carbon policies through the optimization of the logistics network to reduce energy waste and pursue the low carbon-reduction of machinery and equipment. This purpose of this paper is to summarize the present situations and to present some developmental strategies of those modern logistics industry.
