한국 내 마케도니아자료에 대한 통시적, 공시적 접근과 발굴, 분석

Macedonia in Korea - it's memory and image ; Diachronic and synchronic analysis on Macedonia-related materials in Korea

본 논문은 한국과 아직 미수교국이지만 그 지정학적 중요성과 앞으로의 발전 가능성으로 인하여 중요 연구 대상이 되는 마케도니아에 대한 연구의 기반을 다지기 위하여 행하여진 연구의 결과물이다. 물리적으로 매우 먼 거리에 있는 마케도니아는 고래로 남부 유럽과 발칸반도의 중심에 위치하면서 다양한 역사적 변천을 거쳐 왔다. 아울러 슬라브족 중심의 정교도와 알바니아민족 중심의 이슬람교도가 공존하며 갈등을 유발하는 반목과 질시의 땅이기도 하였다. 이러한 역사적, 문화적 연원은 글로벌시대에 異 문화 간 충돌양상을 보이고 있는 우리로 하여금 반면교사 역할을 할 수 있는 국가로 각인시키며 그 중요성을 높이고 있다. 본 논문에서는 한국 내 존재하는 마케도니아와 관련된 자료를 총체적으로 발굴하여 정리하여 보고, 한국인에게 마케도니아를 어떻게 생각하는지 등의 설문조사를 통하여 마케도니아의 국가이미지를 상정해보는 것을 그 연구내용으로 다루고 있다. 한국 내 마케도니아 자료 수집은 한국 국가기록원, 한국교육학술정보원 등 국가 기관의 자료들과 인터넷 포털 사이트 등의 자료들을 총 망라하여 수집, 분석하였다. 마케도니아 이미지 관련 설문조사는 한국외국어대생과 일반인을 중심으로 이루어졌으며 이러한 총체적 연구를 통하여 마케도니아는 한국인에게 마더 테레사, 알렉산더 대왕, 친환경 에너지, 바울의 선교여행과 기독교 성지, 민족 간 갈등과 그리스와의 분쟁 등으로 이미지화되어 있음을 알 수 있었다.

Ultimately, the purpose of this study is seeding Korean studies in Macedonia and Macedonian studies in Korea. This project has to be proceed step by step. First and fundamental step refer to restoration of records in each countries, which can be interpreted as finding Korea-related promotional, diplomatic, Academic materials and press articles in Macedonia and same process in Korea too. Through this work, we can draw key words and following national images of each countries. This study presents the results of the tracking and systematization of all materials in Korea, concerning Macedonia. It is a comparative cultural research, focusing on the Macedonian images to Koreans. For this purpose, the author have collected materials from Korean National Archives and another national and private sources from online and offline data . Also the author have accomplished survey, which was made up 11 questions to answer and express their own ideas about Macedonia to Korean people. Based on the process of record restorations on Macedonia-related materials from national and private data, internet-based searching and conducted survey, five keywords were created ; Mother Theresa, Alexander the Great, green energy, holy land and a source of conflict on the Balkan peninsula. To conclude Macedonian national images to Koreans with those five keywords is very circumscribed and even it can causes the lack of cultural diversity and communication problems. But on the other hand, this step is element and essential process to build a bilateral and intercultural understanding for ultimate purpose to establish suitable and truthful korean studies in Macedonia.
