토박이말 교육 실행 연구

An Action Research of the Proper Word (Tobagimal) Education

이 연구의 목적은 2009 개정 교육과정에 따른 국어과 교육과정 내용 가운데 토박이말 관련 성취기준의 성공적 도달을 위한 토박이말 교육 방안을 제시하는 데 있다. 연구 목적을 달성하기 위해 6학급 전교생을 대상으로 토박이말 앎(지식), 삶(활용), 품(태도)을 기르는 토박이말 교육 프로그램을 개발하여 실행하였다. 연구 결과 다양한 토박이말 관련 교육 활동이 토박이말에 대한 인식을 새롭게 함은 말할 것도 없고, 토박이말에 대한 지식을 넓힐 수 있었다. 배운 토박이말을 활용한 표현 활동 경험을 통해 창의적인 표현력을 기를 수 있었으며, 토박이말을 소중히 여기는 태도를 기를 수 있는 것으로 나타났다. 또한 배우고 익힌 토박이말을 활용함으로써 바르고 고운 언어생활 태도를 기를 수 있는 동기를 유발할 수 있도록 교과 교육과 연계해서 지도할 수 있는 토박이말 목록, 스마트 기기용 앱 등 다양한 교수ㆍ학습 자료를 개발할 필요가 있다.

The purpose of this study is to provide an education plan for successfully achieving the standards of proper word (Tobagimal) in the Korean language curriculum following the 2009 Curriculum Revision. In order to achieve the purpose of this study, an educational program on proper word (Tobagimal) was developed and implemented for all students in six grades to cultivate the learning (knowledge), living (utilization) and characteristic (attitude) of a native proper word speaker. The study results showed that a variety of educational activities on proper word (Tobagimal) not only renewed student awareness but also widened their knowledge of the proper word (Tobagimal). The students were able to use creative expressions by participating in expressive activities that utilized previously learned proper word (Tobagimal). These activities also helped to develop student appreciation for the proper word (Tobagimal). Also, in order to motivate students to develop a proper and refined attitude for the language through learning and practicing the proper word (Tobagimal), it is necessary to develop diverse teaching and learning materials, including books on proper word (Tobagimal) and smart phone applications, to guide the students in line with the course curriculum.
