그 10년, 그 영재교육, 그리고 새로운 지평

10 years, The Education for the Gifted Students and New Perspective

한국의 영재교육은 시작한지 10년의 역사를 갖고 있다. 3차 영재교육진흥법이 재정되어 좀 더 영재에 대한 다양한 논의가 되고 있다. 그동안 한국의 영재교육은 그 나름대로의 발전의 역사를 가졌다고 볼 수 있다. 이제 지난 영재교육의 그 10년을 생각하며 영재교육의 과거 10년에 대한 반성과 문제를 짚어보고, 새로운 방향을 생각해보는 그 10년, 그 영재교육, 그리고 그 새로운 지평을 논의하고자 한다. 영재의 개념, 영재의 판별, 영재교육의 교육과정, 그리고 그 무엇보다 중요한 영재교사에 대한 교육, 더 나아가 영재교육은 현장에서 이루어지는 의미에서 볼 때 현장에서의 적용, 그 적용과 그 갈등의 문제는 이제 우리들이 깊게 논의해야 될 시점이 되었다. 본 논문에서는 이와 같은 문제를 다양한 측면에서 정리하고, 통합하는 과정을 통해서 한국 영재 교육의 새로운 지평을 열고자한다.

Korean education for the gifted students has a history of 10 years. As the third law of gifted students' education promotion was revised, the gifted students is discussed more variously. Until now, Korean education for the gifted students has the history of its own development. Now, this researcher intends to think about the 10 years of the education for the gifted students, investigate reflection and problems for the past 10 years of the education for the gifted students and discuss about the 10 years, the education for the gifted students and new perspective for new direction. In consideration of concept of the gifted students, identification of the gifted students, curriculum for the gifted students, education for teachers of the gifted students, furthermore, field of the education for the gifted students, application to the field, problems of the application and conflicts should be deeply discussed now. The purposes of this research are to organize and integrate the issues from various aspects and open new perspective of korean education for the gifted students.
