우리나라 유치원교사와 보육교사 수급정책의 장, 단기 발전 방안

A Study on the Development Strategy of Early Childhood Teacher Demand-Supply Policy in Korea

This study suggests a development strategy of early childhood teacher demand-supply policy in Korea. With this objective, current situation of early childhood teacher demand-supply policy was examined. Then, the problem of early childhood teacher demand-supply policy was analyzed. These results lead to the recommendation of two steps for the development strategy of early childhood teacher demand-supply policy in Korea. Short-term strategies are as follows: estimating the teacher demand according to 2 classroom teachers in all-day classes and appropriate teacher-child ratios; balancing of teacher demand-supply and supply of high-quality teachers; ensuring budgets according to the balance of demand-supply and supply of high-quality teachers. Long-term strategies are as follows: to enacting laws for the 2 classroom teachers in all-day classes and appropriate teacher-child ratios; unifying administrative structure charges of teacher demand-supply policy and teacher quota management; distributing budgets effectively.
