This paper discusses the appropriateness of grammatical examples listed in the textbooks and grammar books published in China recently. The impropriate examples are classified into four groups, namely, subject in the examples, vocabulary in the examples, cultural background in the examples and logic in the examples. Then reasons of using impropriate examples are analysed and last suggestions are illustrated.
