The cognitive symptoms as well as the behavioral and psychological symptoms of AD cause difficulties in diagnosis and treatment of AD. However, AD is not an untreatable disease in modern medicine. The important point is that it is up to the earlier diagnosis of AD to link to treatment. Therefore, investigators have been interested in the mild cognitive impairment prior to conversion to AD in recent era. Furthermore, some predictable measures such as neuroimaging and biological markers have been studied.
