일과성전기억상실증의 발병 중 신경심리검사소견

Neuropsychological Findings during Attack in Transient Global Amnesia - Report of Two Cases -

일과성전기억상실증 의식 장애 갑자기 선행 및 역행 기억장애가 나타났다가 24시간 내에 서서히 호전되는 질환이다. 기억장애로 인해 신경심리검사를 발병시 시행할 때 명시기억 중 사건기억에서 기억회상의 뚜렷한 장애를 보인다. 그리고 다른 인지 기능 장애를 동반하기도 한다. 급성 기억 장애의 임상적 접근에서 발병 시기의 신경심리검사가 질환을 감별할 때 도움을 줄 수 있을 것이고, 이에 대한 이해도 필요하다.

Transient global amnesia (TGA) is a transitory syndrome of amnesia lasting less than 24 hours while lacking other neurological symptoms. Neuropsychological tests during attack in TGA have been rarely reported. We experienced two patients with TGA who have been evaluated with comprehensive neuropsychological tests during attack. Neuropsychological test showed encoding failure on verbal and visuospatial memory with a relative preservation of personal and conceptual semantic knowledge, and one patient had frontal lobe dysfunction. Free recall was significantly affected.
