The word "Journalism" is used as a generic term for popular liberal arts in Saihonohito(The Westerner) of Akutagawa Ryunosuke but it is used in worry about depraved arts. So, he always emphasized 'poetic spirit' without distinction of any kind of literature and pursued the fine arts that would hand the 'poetic emotion' down to posterity. Especially, "Journalism" is appeared a lot in The sequel to Saihonohito. Comparing with Saihonohito depicting the life of Jesus, The sequel is focused on Christ's Journalism to prove his confidence and the truth on the Resurrention that will be verified through long history after all. Furthermore, through the parable of Christ's Jounalism, Akutagawa intended to prove the truth of his own works. Thus, he left a strong message about confidence on revival of his works in the end of the sequel(22 poor people) that after this age degenerated by pop novels and perverted naturalism, someone like 'the traveler of Emmaus' must appear to save(understand) him in the coming generation.
