Existence of Preaching according to the Theology of Matthew

마태는 마태복음을 기록하면서 구약성경에서 메시야에 대하여 예언한 것들을 예수께서 어떻게 성취하심으로 그리스도가 되셨는가를 확증해 보여 주고 있다. 1장 1절부터 “다윗과 아브라함의 자손 예수 그리스도의 세계라”고 선언하면서 다윗의 왕위를 이은 예수께서 그리스도라고 전하고 있다. 먼저 신분상 조건으로 그리스도가 되기 위해서는 첫째, 나단이 예언한(삼하7:16) 다윗의 왕위를 이를 수 있는 자임을 확증해 보이고(1:1-17), 둘째는 하나님께서 직접 말씀하신(창3;16) 여인의 후손으로 태어났으며(1:18-25), 셋째는 미가가 예언한(미5:2) 베들레헴에서 태어났으며(2:1-12), 넷째는 애굽에서 건진 내 아들이 되어야 한다는 예언을(호11:1) 성취했으며(2:13-22), 다섯째는 이사야가 예언한(사11:1) 나사렛 사람이 되심으로 (2;23) 메시야의 자격이 있음을 보여 주었다. 부모와 동방박사, 헤롯 왕, 종교지도자들, 세례 요한, 하나님, 마귀까지도 예수께서 하나님의 아들로 구원을 이룰 메시야임을 말해 줌으로 외적증거를 얻게 된 것이다. 산상수훈을 통하여 자신이 하나님의 나라에서 온 그리스도라는 사실에 대하여 확증해 보여 주었고, 표적을 통하여도 메시야가 되었음을 확증해 주셨다. 이렇게 예수께서는 자신이 그리스도가 될 자격이 충분함을 입증하고 난 후 십자가에서 죽으시고 장사 지낸바 되었다가 삼일만에 부활하심으로 완전하게 그리스도가 되었음을 선포하라고 제자들에게 부탁하였다. 이러한 마태복음의 저자의 의도에 따라 설교자는 직접 목격한 자처럼 감각을 통하여 보고 느끼고 만질 수 있도록 설교해야 청중들이 하나님을 직접 성령의 역사를 통하여 만날 수 있게 되어 증인의 삶을 살 수 있게 된다. 그래서 센스어필을 통하여 마태의 의도에 따라 마태복음을 설교해야 한다는 것이다.

Through the truth of Jesus being Christ, the Son of God, Matthew speaks of the doctrine of Soteriology. In his introduction in Matthew 1:1, “the record of the genealogy of Jesus Christ the son of David, the son of Abraham,” Matthew proclaims and testifies the truth that Jesus is the Son of God and has come to fulfill the covenant of David. Christ Jesus, being the Son of God, is outwardly testified through 1. the genealogy, 2. the birth of Jesus through Mary and Joseph, 3. the kings of orient, king Herod, the religious leaders, 4, John the Baptist, 5. God, 6. and Satan’s testimony. An inward testimony of Jesus himself being the Son of God is also evident through 1. the constitution of heaven, 2. the lives of God’s children, 3. and signs. The doctrine of soteriology Matthew speaks of are through the confessions of those who profess that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God. And through these confessions, the privilege and the life of sonship of God is given. This is not only evident in Matthew. John testifies the divinity of Jesus, who is Christ, the Son of God. Luke speaks of Jesus Christ as the Son of God through His human characteristics. Mark speaks of Jesus being the Christ and the Son of God through both His divine and human nature. The evidence presented that Jesus being the Son of God and Christ, is a testimony that He is the Son of God and is together as a family with God the Father. This is the doctrine of soteriology which Matthew is speaking. As it is written in Matthew 16:17, “for this was not revealed to you by man, but by my Father in heaven,” The Lord is proclaiming that salvation is in God the Father.
