한국사회 내 미조직 및 개척교회의 딜레마에 관한 질적 연구

A Qualitative Approach to Dilemmas of Unorganized and Planting Churches : Focusing on Urban Area of the General Assembly of the Presbyterian Church in Korea(Kosin)

본 연구에서는 현장에서 교회를 개척하였거나 미자립, 미조직교회를 사역하고 있는 목회자, 사모, 교회의 구성원들과의 심층면담과 현장참여관찰을 통해 그들이 겪고 있는 실제적인 문제가 무엇이며, 어떠한 상황 속에서 사역을 진행하고 있는지를 심층적으로 분석하고자 하였다. 면담가이드를 통해 수집된 질적자료의 경우 질적자료분석 컴퓨터 프로그램(CAQDAS: Computer-Aided Qualitative Data Analysis Software)을 통해 분석이 진행되었다. 이를 통해 성급한 개척: “교회만 세우면 구름같이 몰릴 줄 믿고….”, 개척멤버의 부재로 인한 어려움: “사모와 단둘이 새벽기도를 6개월 동안 했습니다”, 사모와 자녀의 희생: “남편과 아버지가 개척교회 목사이기에”, 경제적 압박: “ 힘이 듭니다. 너무 ….”, 목회자의 우울증: “외롭고 힘이 들어 한 동안 멍하니 앉아있었습니다”, 목회자 및 사모의 커뮤니티 필요: “함께 고민을 나눌 수 있는 동역자”, 대형교회의 공격적 사역 속에서 우리만의 전략: “우리교회 앞에서 전도하는 큰 교회 권사님”의 주제들을 도출하였으며, 이를 바탕으로 미자립 및 개척교회 사역 현장 개선을 위한 정책적 제안을 하였다.

The purpose of this research is to analyze the unorganized churches and planting churches’ dilemma of Kosin Presbyterian church and to identify the impeding elements which hinder the improvement of their situation in church. The results of analysis can lead us to understand the inner reality of churches’experiences or cultures and interaction between pastors and church members in the complicated Korean churches. This study is conducted during three months through Focus Group Interview (FGI) with pastors and church members and through an analysis of the qualitative materials which are the data from in-depth interviews, field notes and observations, all of which is analyzed by NVivo, which is one of CAQDAS(Computer-Aided Qualitative Data Analysis Software). NVivo has been popular a data analysis method nowadays because it provides clear data analysis with regard to how they interview, how they question the participants and how they analyze the qualitative materials. The research results present the narrative of the 42 participants. Based on these narrative, we identified the critical factors of unorganized churches and planting churches’ dilemma of Kosin Presbyterian church. These critical factors of include hasty pioneering, absence of the planting church members, sacrifice of wife and children, economic pressures, depression of pastors, need for effective meetings of pastors, and aggressive approach of the mega-church and Our own strategy. Based on this results, we proposal policy to improve problem of unorganized churches and planting churches.
