‘동방번개파’의 종말론 비판

A Criticism on the Eschatology of Dongbangbunge

약 25년 전 중국에서 시작된 ‘동방번개파’(혹은 전능하신 하나님 교회, 여그리스도파, 칠영파, 재림 구주파)는 한국의 일간지에 약 300회 이상에 걸쳐 전면 광고를 했다. 아직 동방번개파에 관한 체계적인 연구와 비판은 거의 없는 형편이다. 그들의 공식 홈페이지(http://kr.kingdomsalvation.org)는 신문에 실은 전면 광고를 탑재하여 주요 자료들을 공개하고 있다. 따라서 우리는 그들의 주장을 객관적으로 평가할 자료를 가지고 있다. 이 글의 목적은 이 자료들을 기초로 하여, 동방번개파의 전반적인 주장이 아니라 특별히 종말론을 비판하는 것이다. 이를 위해서 (1) 동방번개파의 기원 및 조직을 소개하고, (2) 그들의 주요 교리 및 성경 해석을 소개하고 비판하며, (3) 그들의 종말론을 복음서와 서신서와 계시록으로 나누어 소개하고 비판하며, (4) 그들의 계시록 종말론과 신천지의 계시록 종말론을 비교한다. 이 글에서 동방번개파의 종말론 중 특히 요한계시록의 종말론을 자세히 다룰 것이다. 이 글의 논지는 동방번개파는 성경의 영감성과 기독교의 근본 교리들을 부정하며, 종말의 계시자로 간주되는 여그리스도를 중심으로 하는 자의적 해석으로 인해 특히 종말론이 성경에서 이탈해 있다는 것이다. 이 글이 한국교회가 최근 이단인 동방번개파에 잘 대처하는데 일조하기를 소망한다.

Donbanbunge(DBBG) originated in China about 25 years ago and has advertised more than 300 times in Korean newspapers. Nonetheless, there is little critical research on this heresy. Its official internet homepage (http://kr.kingdomsalvation.org) has many uploaded materials consisting mainly of newspaper advertisements that provide objective materials for researchers. This paper aims to probe into and criticize the eschatology of the DBBG based on the Book of Revelation. For this purpose, this researcher utilizes the following steps: (1) the origin and organization of DBBG, (2) its main doctrines and biblical hermeneutic, (3) critique of its eschatology based on the Gospels, Epistles, and Revelation, (4) comparison between DBBG and another heresy called Shincheonji in terms of the eschatology of the book of Revelation. The gist of this paper is that DBBG rejects the inspiration of Scripture, the core doctrines of Christianity, and demonstrates a non-biblical hermeneutic due to their female-Christ figure, who is esteemed as the final revealer and criterion of exegesis.
