여대생의 성폭력 두려움 인식에 관한 연구

A Study on Women University Students' Fear of Sexual Violence

대부분의 성폭력범죄는 여성에게 발생되는 것으로서, 그로 인해 피해여성의 신체적ㆍ정신적ㆍ사회적 피해 정도가 매우 심각하기 때문에, 여성에게 있어서 성폭력은 상당한 두려움을 야기하는 대상이다. 이 연구의 목적은 대학 캠퍼스에서 어떤 주요요소들이 여대생의 성폭력 두려움 인식에 통계적으로 유의미한 영향을 미치는지를 살펴보고, 분석결과에 기초하여 여대생이 인식하는 성폭력 두려움을 감소시킬 수 있는 효과적인 방안들을 제안하는 것이다. 이 연구를 위해서 대전광역시에 소재하고 있는 4년제 대학 3개교에 재학 중인 여대생 125명을 대상으로 조사하였고, 독립변수로는 캠퍼스 무질서, 캠퍼스 구성원간 유대감, 성폭력에의 취약성, 성폭력 대상으로 서 매력성, 성폭력의 간접적 피해경험의 5개 변수를 선정하였고, 종속변수는 여대생의 성폭력 두려움 인식으로 선정하였다. 회귀분석의 결과, 유의수준 .05에서 종속변수인 여대생의 성폭력 두려움 인식에 통계적으로 유의미한 영향을 미치는 독립변수는 성폭력의 간접적 피해경험, 캠퍼스 구성원간 유대감, 캠퍼스 무질서의 3개 변수인 것으로 나타났다. 따라서, 이 연구의 분석결과에 따르면, 여대생이 인식하는 성폭력 두려움 수준을 감소시키기 위해서는, 성폭력의 간접적 피해경험과 캠퍼스 무질서를 최소화시켜서 불필요한 성폭력 두려움을 감소시키고, 캠퍼스 구성원간 유대감을 증진시킬 수 있는 방안을 마련할 필요가 있다.

Fear of crime has been one of the major growth areas for both academic research and policy initiatives, because it has negative social consequences. Although university campus is a place to lead undergraduate students' ordinary life, the impact of factors of campus on undergraduate students' fear of sexual violence has not been studied. The purpose of this study is to analyze the influence to women university students' fear of sexual violence, and to suggest the methods for decreasing the fear of sexual violence. The data used in this study were obtained from 125 women university students on 3 universities in Daegeon Metropolitan City. By factor analysis, campus disorder, fellowship among campus members, vulnerability, target attractiveness, and indirect harm experience of sexual violence are grouped as the independent variables. And the dependent variable is women university students' fear on sexual violence. The results of this study demonstrates that women university students' fear of sexual violence is affected statistically by campus disorder, fellowship among campus members, and indirect harm experience of sexual violence. Therefore, university headquarter must make the effort for increasing the campus fellowship and decreasing the campus disorder and indirect experience.
