유고슬라비아 구비문학의 발전과 종교적 다양성의 상관관계

The Correlation between Progress of the Yugoslav Oral Literature and Religious Dive

본고는 다양한 종교적 전통을 갖고 있는 구 유고지역에서 각각의 보편종교와 구비문학이 보여주는 상관관계에 대해 고찰한다. 정교문화권이나 이슬람문화권의 구비문학과 차별될 수 있는 가톨릭문화권에 속하는 슬로베니아와 크로아티아 민족의 ‘음유시인의 노래(Trubadurska pjesma)’, 정교문화권에서 나타나는 ‘구비영웅서사시(narodna epska junačka pesma)’의 두 하위 갈래인 ‘10음절 구비시가(Deseterac)’와 ‘부가르슈띠짜(Bugarštica)’, 그리고 이슬람문화권인 보스니아-헤르체고비나에서 발생한 구비서정시 갈래인 ‘세브달린카(Sevdalinka)’의 특징과 이 갈래가 다른 종교문화권 민족에서 전이, 동화, 대체의 현상을 거치며 변화되어 나타나는 모습에 대해 고찰한다. 우리는 구전이라는 현상을 거치며 발생하는 그러한 변화의 양상들이 또 다른 종교문화권이나 구비문학의 하위갈래들에서도 발생할 수 있음을 기억해야만 할 것이다.

This paper has focused on the correlations between universal religions (Catholic, Orthodox and Islam) and the oral literature in Former Yugoslavia, which has a variety of religious traditions. That is, this paper has considered the characteristics of Songs of troubadours at slovenian and croatian ethnic nations, who are belonging to the Catholic culture. And, has considered the characteristics of Decasyllabic poetry and Bugarštica of the cultural area of Orthodox Church, which are sub-genres of the oral epic heroic poetry. And lastly, has considered the characteristics of Sevdalinka, which had occurred at the cultural area of Islam (Bosnia-Herzegovina). Particularly, in conclusion has emphasized that Sevdalinka could be changed through the diffusion, transition and assimilation in other religious cultures. But we’ll have to remember that such phenomena caused by oral transmission may occur in other religious cultures and in other oral literary genres.
