아이스너의 수업 예술성에 비추어 본 미술수업 비평 방안 탐색

A Study of Art Class Critique Based on The Art and Craft of Teaching by Eisner

본 연구는 아이스너의 수업의 예술성에 비추어 본 미술 수업 비평에 관한 연구이다. 수업은 크게 과학성과 예술성 측면에서 고찰해 볼 수 있는데 오늘날 수업은 지나치게 과학적인 접근 방식을 강조함으로써 교육적 본질에서 벗어나 있거나 교육에서 중요한 것들을 간과하는 경우가 있다. 연구자는 아이스너의 수업 예술성에 근거한 접근이 보다 미술과 특성을 잘 반영할 수 있다는 판단하에 수업예술성에 근거한 미술과 수업비평 방안에 대해 탐색하였다. 본 연구에서는 현재 나타나고 있는 교육에 관한 과학적 접근과 우수수업의 양상을 들여다보고 이에 대한 비판적 성찰로써 아이스너의 수업예술성을 고찰하고 있다. 수업예술성의 필요와 중요성을 논하고 있으며, 수업예술성에 따른 수업비평의 관점을 제시하였다. 이를 토대로 미술과 수업 비평 영역을 수업지식, 미적경험, 구조적 차원, 정의적 차원, 평가적 차원 등 다섯 가지 영역에서 고찰하고 있다. 각 영역에 대해 세부적인 비평 내용과 방향을 제시함으로써 실제 수업에서 활용할 수 있는 예술성에 근거한 미술과에서의 수업 비평 방안을 제시하고 있다. 이 연구는 수업 예술성 측면에서 미술과 수업을 바라볼 수 있는 새로운 관점을 제시하였다는데 연구의 의의가 있다.

This study explores art class critiques based on The Art and Craft of Teaching by Elliot W. Eisner. Art class critiques should consider artistic studies and scientific studies, unfortunately nowadays scientific studies overly emphasized. This over emphasis can lower the quality of education. Scientific approaches about class processing and the result of art class can distort the subject characteristics of art class, and do can not accurately reflect art characteristics. In that context, I researched art class critiques based on The Art and Craft of Teaching because the method of approach by Eisner is more reflective of the characteristics of art. I explored the art of teaching as a critical reflection, taking a looking into the aspects of excellent teaching and taking a scientific approach to education. I suggest points of view about art class critique based on art, and suggested five critical domains; such as 1) class knowledge, 2) esthetical experience, 3) structural dimension, 4) affective dimension and5) evaluative dimension. I also explain detailed critique contents and directions for each domain, so it can be applied to practical art classes. This study provides significant implications by suggesting new points of view for art class critiques based on art.
