This study aimed to understand the ideological character of the knowledge learned at schools, by looking into the contents in textbooks by the reproduction theory of Pierre Bourdieu. Knowledge learned at schools is a result of the selection from a wide range of cultural contents. The standards of the selection include political powers, economic interests, principles of social control of the power groups of the society, and there is an ideology that justifies these standards. In particular, the social studies textbooks best reflect the social and political changes, and to deliberate the dominant ideology reflected in the social studies textbooks. Therefore, applied the reproduction theory of Bourdieu to the field of school education, and looks into the meanings in the four kinds of capital, and then presents the framework of the capital types that are shown in the current social studies textbooks, which are one of the important tools of reproduction. By doing so, the study gave an analysis regarding a country's dominating ideology in the 07 reviosion curriculum course to understand what kind of capital the ideology represents.
