It was not before, at most, 1980 that fantasy and feminism began to be focused on in Korean literature. They began to be newly spotlighted in almost the same history. Though they were different in substance, they had it in common that they were based on the complete disbelief in traditional man-centered point of view. The critical mind of this paper starts at this point. How are they related in Korean epic literature? How does that aspect change according to the times? Whats the meaning of each aspect? First, I examined the concept of a fantasy and a fantasy literature to solve those questions, because the concepts that almost came from western literature have not been organized systematically, in spite of recent contradictory discussion about a fantasy literature. It is also the reason that the selection of text cannot be justified without setting up the concept of fantasy and the standard of a fantasy literature. Second, I discussed the contiguity between feminine and fantasy in seven works from Choi chi Won(崔致遠) in 11th century to Chun Ji Gan(天地間, 1996) in 20th century. As the result of the discussion, despite the different times and writers, fantasy and feminine had been put on beyond cognition as an instant existence. Feminine and fantasy met at such point as inscrutability, a moment, non-sociality. Those result from the fact that writing has been only open to man. That fact will develop differently, according as how much woman can write independently, and as how much man and woman can talk with each other extensively.
