Recently, much interest and active research has appeared related to users' intention of adopting a smartphone. The main purpose of this study is to apply a modified Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) to identify potential factors such as enjoyment, social influence, perceived usefulness, and perceived convenience that might affect user behaviors in the acceptance/adoption of a smartphone. The results show that enjoyment and social influence positively affect perceived usefulness and perceived convenience, and perceived convenience also has positive influence on perceived usefulness and intention to use. According to statistical results by Partial Least Squares structural equation analysis, we propose implications and limitations of this study and also briefly discuss future research directions.
