A Study on the Relationship among Ethical Leadership, Followership, Leader Trust, and Management Performance in Hotel Industry

The purpose of this study is to provide evidence concerning the effects of ethical leadership, followership, leader trust, and management performance in the hotel company. The data were collected from employees in deluxe hotels of Seoul, Busan, Gyengju. To achieve the study objective, a total of 554 valid questionnaires are statistically analyzed, using frequency analysis, AMOS(4.0) for confirmatory factor analysis and structural equation modeling. The results of analysis are: First, the ethical leadership had effects on followership and leader trust. Second, the followership had effects on financial management and non-financial management performance. Third, the ethical leadership had effects on financial management and non-financial management performance. Fourth, the leader trust had effects on non-financial management performance. This study has provided sufficient evidences for future research to investigate the relationship of ethical leadership, followership, leader trust, and management performance in the hotel industry.
