The purpose of this study is to investigate the effects of the English Native Instructor Program (ENIP) at universities of education that are financially supported by the Korean Ministry of Education. This study uses survey questionnaires and pre- and post tests to examine the effects of the ENIP that has been applied to universities of education in Korea for years. Queries of the survey sheet were designed to identify the degree of satisfaction of English native instructors' teaching activities. The survey data was collected from 22 Korean professors, 15 other faculty members, and 2,135 pre-service teachers at universities of education and pre- and post test results were collected from 207 pre-service teachers at one university of education. The results imply that the ENIP has been meaningfully and successfully applied throughout the teacher training institutes. The results of TOEIC test show that the ENIP has positively affected pre-service teachers's general English proficiency. The results also show that the English native instructors have positively affected pre-service teachers' insights and skills of teaching by showing their competence as teacher educators and cultural commentators. The pre-service teacher's degree of satisfaction is reflected through the English native instructors' classes shown in the survey results, and in the increasing course evaluation scores of English native instructors for years.
