글로벌 창의모델학교의 글로벌 교육프로그램 운영의 현황과 개선방안

The Management of the Global Education Program and its Improvement Plan

본 연구에서는 교육국제화특구로 지정ㆍ운영 중인 대구광역시 북구 및 달서구내 4개 중학교에서 실시되고 있는 글로벌 교육과정 편성, 운영 실태 등을 중점적으로 검토ㆍ분석하고 향후 급변하는 다양한 글로벌 환경에 능동적으로 대처할 수 있는 인재 양성을 위한 외국어 교육 강화 및 글로벌 마인드를 함양시킬 수 있는 대안을 탐색, 제시하였다. 외국어 교육과정 시수 증배 운영, 3ㆍ2ㆍ1 Happy Together English 프로그램 운영, 교내 동아리 활동, 교내 글로벌 환경 조성을 위한 프로그램 운영에 분석의 초점을 맞추었다. 연구 결과 전반적으로 당해 학교들은 글로벌 교육프로그램 운영을 위한 다양한 전략들이 시도되고 있고, 그에 대한 교육적 만족도도 높은 것으로 파악되었다. 그러나 특성화된 전략보다는 일반적 전략들을 백화점식으로 나열하고 있어 학교별 특성화된 프로그램 운영으로 발전시킬 수 있는 전략이 요구된다.

Four middle schools in Bukgu and Dalseogu districts were assigned as globalization and creativity model schools by Daegu Meropolitan City Board of Education. This paper attempts to analyze the management and running of the four middle schools and suggests some ways to help produce the global leaders by strengthening foreign language and global etiquette education. The present study is focussed on the management of the class hours of the curriculum, 3.2.1 Happy Together English, a special English program, various club activities, and school facilities. The results of the study show that various programs are being implemented for the better education and the sense of satisfaction for both students and teachers was rather high. However, those schools seem to run too many programs to manage. Therefore, it is highly recommended to focus on core programs making the schools unique.
