문장따라말하기에서 나타난 단순언어장애아동의 조사 처리 능력

Production of Case-Markers during Sentence Repetition in Korean Children with Specific Language Impairment

배경 및 목적: 본 연구는 문법형태소의 습득과 사용에 어려움을 보인다고 알려진 단순언어장애아동들의 조사처리능력을 문장따라말하기 과제를 통해 알아보고자 하였다. 방법: 이를 위해 언어연령 3세인 단순언어장애아동과 일반아동 각 10명이 연구에 참여하였고, 24개의 검사 문항과 12개의 메꾸기 문항으로 구성된 36개 실험 자극을 사용하였다. 검사 문항은 '주어+목적어+부사어+서술어' 구조로 제작된 13음절 이내의 문장이었으며, 순수부사어 조건과 부사격조사 조건으로 나뉘었다. 전자는 부사격조사가 포함되지 않은 부사어가 쓰인 조건이었으며, 후자는 체언에 부사격조사가 붙어 이루어진 부사어로 된 조건이었다. 결과: 연구 결과 첫째, 단순언어장애아동의 문장따라말하기 수행력이 일반아동에 비해 낮았으며, 부사격조사 조건에서의 수행이 순수부사어 조건보다 낮게 나타났다. 이러한 조건 간의 차이는 단순언어장애아동 집단에서 두드러졌다. 둘째, 문장따라말하기 수행 정확도에서 집단 간 차이가 유의미하였으나 각 부사격조사별 정반응률 순서나 오류 유형에 있어서는 두 집단에서 유사한 양상이 관찰되었다. 논의 및 결론: 본 연구의 결과는 단순언어장애아동들이 문법형태소 측면에서 일반아동에 비해 양적으로 느린 발달을 보이나 질적으로 일탈된 차이는 보이지 않음을 시사하였다.

Objectives: Children with specific language impairment (SLI) often show greater limitations in grammatical morphology than other areas of language. The purpose of this study was to examine the production of grammatical morphemes in children with SLI compared with typically developing children, focusing on adverbial particles in sentence repetition. Methods: Ten children from each group, ages 3;0-3;11, participated in this study. The test sentences all followed the format 'subject+object+adverb+predicate'. The test sentences were divided into two categories: adverbial words without an adverbial particle (pure adverbial condition), and adverbial words formed by adding adverbial particles to nouns (adverbial particle condition). Results: In the sentence repetition, the children with SLI showed significantly lower scores. Both groups showed lower scores for the sentences with adverbial particle conditions, but the difference was significantly more pronounced in the children with SLI. Conclusion: These results suggest that the gap in performance between the two groups involves a quantitative rather than qualitative difference.
