In the 1970s the male writers highlight the exploitation of maidservants in his novels. They objectify the maidservants by shuttig them in some stereotypes. The male writers project the fantasy for the maternal affection to the maidservants and satisfy their narcissism. The maidservants are represented as sexual beings, which shows the sexual gaze of the male writers looking in the maidservants. The writers project the fantasy for purely physical wemen to the maidservants also.
